The 1919 round barn was built from a Gordon Van Tine kit for $6,000.
State Center is served by the West Marshall Community School District.
The school colors are black and gold, and the mascot is a Trojan.
Schools include West Marshall Elementary, West Marshall Middle School, and West Marshall High School.
State Center has approximately 630 housing units with about 65% owner-occupied.
